Amy Gibbs
Amy has been a clinical psychologist since 2015 and has experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of difficulties including depression, grief and loss, anxiety, relationship difficulties, adjustment to life changes, stress and trauma. In recent years Amy has worked predominately in the area of youth mental health within a public setting.
Amy understands that reaching out for help can be difficult, so is committed to creating a warm and supportive therapeutic space where people can feel safe and respected.
Amy acknowledges that every individual is unique with their own personal story. She values a collaborative and flexible style of therapy, working together to gain a deep understanding of the difficulties each person is facing and developing new skills and strategies to help overcome these and improve mental well-being.
Amy draws on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Mindfulness and tailors therapy to meet each person’s need.
