George Tzimas
George is a Registered Psychologist who offers a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. He aims to create a space where people feel at ease to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of what's been going on for them.
George has experience working in forensic and correctional settings, where he developed strong skills in assessment, case formulation, and evidence-based intervention with individuals presenting with complex needs. He brings this experience to his private practice work with adolescents and adults, supporting people with a range of concerns including anxiety, low mood, OCD, stress, addiction, trauma, and difficulties with emotions, relationships, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns.
George draws on evidence-based approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy and schema-informed therapy, and takes a strengths-based perspective that recognises each person's capacity for growth. He takes the time to understand each person's experiences and works alongside them to clarify what matters most, build insight, and develop practical ways forward.
He values creating a calm, respectful, and non-judgemental environment where people feel heard, supported, and able to explore things at their own pace.
